Who is Little Ark Academy?

Little Ark Academy is a non-profit company that trains children from the age of 5 to 14 years of age to develop values, morals, and ethics of life in their early age. We are not addressing or reaching out to children from the perspective of religion or spiritual point of view but also from ethical and moral points of view.

At Little Ark, we strive to give children a beautiful past while we encourage them to build their own bright future! Our Active Programs offers an interactive, learning experience that empowers young learners to develop 4IR skills like critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and leadership.

Our blended learning approach combines live interactive classes and curriculum-aligned simulations to bring learning to life. With the support of teachers, parents, and education experts, we ensure your child's education is seamless and uninterrupted, no matter where you are!

Our Mission, Vision & Values

Our Mission

Our mission is to recognise that we live in trouble times. This recognition has created a sense of urgency to reach and gather every child into the boat, empowering their mindset in pursuit to give them values. In pursuit of this noble idea, Little Ark Academy is determined to reach as many children as possible with a speed faster than that of light.

Our Vision

To give our children a beautiful past while we encourage them to build their own bright future.

Our Values

  • To be Kind
  • To be Mindful
  • To Love and Care for their Bodies and the second person
  • Leadership
  • To Respectful and Obedient

Our Objectives

We teach them facts, formulas, and foreign languages. We track milestones, reward achievement, and push for more. As if doing well means everything IS well.

But how much time do we spend helping them understand what they feel? Helping them make sense of stress, disappointment, anger, confusion?

We don't. They're expected to hold it together — while the world applauds the performance. And then we wonder why they grow up disconnected, anxious, unsure of who they are. Why they go looking for themselves in all the wrong places.

Maybe they wouldn't have to go find themselves. If they were FIRST taught the skills to hold on to themselves.

Doing well is great. But how are they really feeling? Let's be sure to check in. It matters more than their report card.

The Founding Director

Lukhanyo Peter - Founding Director of Little Ark Academy

Lukhanyo Peter

An experienced pastor & an educator professional. He is a Service Delivery Expert, a Brand influencer, an inspirational leader & a creative storyteller. And a voice of hope. He is a Coach for children and a friend to Teachers.

He believes that every true educator carries a vision—not just of imparting knowledge, but of shaping lives and unlocking potential that might otherwise remain hidden.

Teaching, when embraced as a calling, demands unwavering dedication and a profound belief in the transformative power of learning.

He aspires to be the kind of teacher who instils confidence, inspires ambition, and equips children with the tools to shape their futures.

This is the legacy he strives to leave behind: one where children will look back with gratitude, knowing that through the immense and constructive nature of his programs, they found their voice, their confidence, and their path to fulfilment.

Teaching and writing children's books is something that he enjoys most. God means so much to him, and he just enjoys teaching kids about God and seeing them draw closer to Him. Just because he likes to do something doesn't mean it's easy.

He studied and obtained BA Theology at Helderberg College, Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Rhodes University. He has been assessed competent in the following unit standard: conduct outcomes based assessment, and is currently pursuing his Honours degree with the University of Pretoria. He is a licensed pastoral counsellor and a content contributor on Umhlobo Wenene FM, Sakh' Abantwana Sunday school program.
