Information Sharing Policy
To ensure that we remain compliant, we will only share the details/images of your application with you, the applicant/participant and with educational institutions as stated in the Applicant Declaration and 'Informed' Consent you agreed to when you applied.
Circumstances for Information Sharing
Under 18 years of age
Your personal application information will be given to the parent/guardian who signed the Declaration and 'Informed' Consent Form.
18 years or older
If you wish for your application information to be made available to a 3rd party (e.g. parent, guardian, teacher etc.), you must print and sign a Consent Form giving the 3rd party permission to request application information on your behalf.

1. NAME
The name of this Organisation is LITTLE ARK ACADEMY (hereinafter referred to as the NPC). The acknowledged abbreviation is LAA.
2. VISION
Is to give our children a beautiful past, to live well in the present, while we encourage them to build their own bright future.
3. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To help them understand their feelings and to provide them counselling.
- To help them make sense of stress, disappointment, anger, and confusion.
- To help them to discover their skills and their talents and how to make use of them.
- To guide and empower them through career guidance lessons.
- To help them to appreciate their uniqueness.
- To help understand their physical development.
- To empower children on how to accommodate children with special needs.
- To provide training to persons dealing with children.
4. HEAD OFFICE AND AREA OF OPERATION

5. LEGAL STATUS
- • The NPC may be sued in its name and shall be represented in legal proceedings by appointed persons.
- • The NPC shall have an identity distinct from its members or office bearers.
- • The NPC shall continue to exist notwithstanding changes in membership or office bearers.
- • The NPC will be able to own property and assets and will keep records of all assets.
- • Members have no rights in the property solely by virtue of being members.
- • The NPC's income and property shall not be distributable to members except as reasonable compensation.
- • The NPC will keep records of all income and expenditure.
6. MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to all who share a common interest in holistic children's development and subscribe to the aims and objectives as defined in the Constitution.
Categories of Membership:
- Ordinary Member
- Affiliated Member
- Honorary Members and Patrons
Membership Fees:
- Annual subscription fees determined by the Committee
- Membership fees are not refundable
- Subscription falls due on the 1st of each year
- Failure to renew within 2 months results in automatic cancellation
8. ADMINISTRATION AND COMMITTEE
The Committee shall consist of the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Deputy Secretary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chairperson: Spokesperson, chairs meetings, supervises affairs, writes annual report
- Treasurer: Keeps financial records, prepares budgets and balance sheets, collects fees
- Secretary: Maintains records, handles correspondence, prepares meeting notices
- Term of office: 2 years with eligibility for re-election
9. MEETINGS AND QUORUMS
- • Annual General Meeting held within 6 months of financial year end
- • 60 days written notice required for AGM
- • Quorum: minimum 1/3 of delegates in good standing
- • Executive meets monthly
- • Proxies allowed with 48 hours notice
12. FINANCE
- • Financial affairs controlled by committee
- • Financial year: 2nd May to end February
- • Bank accounts operated by at least 2 committee members
- • Annual audit by appointed auditor
- • All property held in conformity with aims and objectives
20. POWERS OF THE ORGANISATION
- • Power to raise funds and receive contributions
- • Power to buy, hire or exchange property
- • Right to make bylaws for proper management
- • Postal box opened in name of NPC
18. DISSOLUTION
Upon dissolution, remaining property shall be transferred to bodies with similar purposes. 30 days notice required for Special General Meeting to consider dissolution.
This Constitution was approved and accepted by members of LITTLE ARK ACADEMY at a special meeting.
